Need more info on teh Fox....but if it's a 'basic' HCI car, then you should have no problem pending dig, roll, his gears, and hatch vs. notch.
and......WTF is a ported MAF?

Like they said above it's almost 100% dependant on what his specific setup is (assuming he's a good driver). If you just want to have the best chance possible then get some drag radials, do a solid burnout, and then run him from a dig. Personally, I always like doing a couple digs and a couple rolls to see how the cars stack up.
If he really does have a mild setup, then you should have a good chance as he is probably in the 250-270 rwhp range. Of course, 270 rwhp in a light *** notch is still going to be a strong runner, so...

Can the guy drive?
I have a good friend that had a 5.0 fox body and he had the motor punched .030" over with all forged internals, good cam can't remember the exact specs but was .5xx lift 23x duration, cobra intake, aluminum heads (cant remember the specifics) and stock gears.
He ran a 13.1 best time with slicks all N/A so I'm thinking you have a good chance of beating him.
O and my buddy couldn't drive stick so that was the main reason why he couldn't break 13's, and on the third run he blew the posi to pieces.
