Default anyone have any luck racing terminator cobras?

just wondering if any of yall have had any luck in beating terminator cobras in a race...they seem like very stout cars just trying to see what it takes to put one of these cobras down

yes... not an incredible amount.

Unless they're modded.

They are pretty stout cars...I've beaten a few pullied/CB/CAI/tuned Cobras, but I've also been beaten by those same cars, too. It all depends on who gets the better launch and/or spins less. One of my friends just bought a KB '03 w/ tons of supporting mods, I'm sure he'll kill me when we run. I love the '03-'04s...if I could comfortably fit in one, I'd probably own one.

Hell yea beat one at the track last friday he ran a 12.60 somthing and i did a 12.56 both sixty foot times were in the 2.10 range so we both had traction issues. Havent had a chance to race one on the street if i do ill make sure to get a dig race lol. Oh im not sure what his mods were he did trap 115 i kno he had some kind of exhaust not sure if that was it or not

Look at his tire. If he's on a street tire, you can get him. I currently have street tires on mine, and at WOT it breaks loose at 5k rpm+ in any gear (sucks more in 1st and 2nd). An 03-04 Cobra needs some drag radials or something pretty sticky to handle all of that torque.

+1 Werd

I drive mine too much to roll on drag radials, and can tell you that any blip of the throttle roasts the tires...I'd struggle against a Hyundai on my street radials

I've run several, street and track, and have yet to lose - even to some making over 100HP more than me. But to be fair, I don't roll race, my car is heavily modded, and traction is king

'03 Cobras can be quick with very few mods and a decent driver. They can also run like **** with a poor tune or a bad driver.
I've gone 11.20's-11.30's with a pulley and light bolt ons. Mid 10's in the mid 130's isn't hard with a twin screw and some basic
supporting mods. It's really all about the setup and the driver...just like any car.

You really can't figure it out? Here are a few examples:

- insurance companies check message boards (I actually know several people's warranties that were cancelled due to posting videos online).
- police check message boards (ask me how I know).
- Criminals check message boards (Do you know how easy it is to run a plate and get someone's address? I know a guy who had his car stolen from inside his garage because someone ran his plate after posting online pics).

Make sense?

Nice. My last Stang had 315s. I'm currently on stock rims on the Cobra...wife ok'd me to get some new rims and tires, so I've been browsing. Fatter is better in this case, unlike chicks.

FWIW, it usually takes these mods:

Pullied Cobra: LS1 w/ Bolt-ons + 100-shot
Ported Eaton: LS1 w/ Bolt-ons + 150-shot
After that, your talking a seriously modded LSX like a H/C stroker car or a forged bottom/boosted or nitrous car.

When I was just bolt-ons + pulley making 450-ish rwhp my buddies '99 Z28 w/full bolt-ons and TNT 100-whp shot would pull me every time. He put down around the same 450-ish but made around 50 ft/lbs of torque more and weighed 200lbs less at full weight. The difference was usually about 3.5 cars from a roll.

Didn't know they were that quick with pullies and boltons. I ran my old buddys 03 Cobra and he had exhaust, intake, and a 2.76 pulley. Tuned, he put down 460 at 16psi. I pulled him pretty good in my car which was just heads/cam/exhaust. I had it figured that just about any decent head/cam LS1 can take or hang with a bolt on and pullied Terminator. My car was a 12.30 car at the time we ran and I dynoed 440ish (423 on a Mustang dyno to be exact).
