So I get a phone call the other night from my friend. "Hey, Justin is up here. He got a new Mustang and its f*cking mean. He said he's gonna whoop your slow *** Camaro." After conducting some research, he has a 2007 GT, cammed, full bolt-ons, 2800 stall, Nitto radials, tuned. He said it should go 12.0-11.8. My Camaro has already gone 12.0 @ 115 with a 1.7 60", off the spray. I've already beaten dozens of these things, but this is a true Ford guy that has had it out for me since high school. So what does it take for an auto 3v to break into 11s?

A friend with full bolt ons, a 3400 stall, 3.73's, a tunes, and M/Ts runs a 7.8-8.0 in the 1/8th mile, not sure what that transfers to in the 1/4. It's also not cammed.

I might, but i'm not sure if my 150,000 mile 4l60 is gonna like that. Last time I sprayed it on the highway the trans overheated and started to leak. I'd really like to beat him all motor. The way I see it: I have more power, less weight, bigger converter. I've beaten boosted 3v 'stangs in the past. I almost beat a GT500 from a roll, but I had a lot of weight in the car.

You should be able to take him unless he dead hooks and you spin from a dig. He should be making anywhere from 330-360rwhp depending on what cams he chose. But damn a cammed 3v sounds ******* mean
