Is it hard for people to believe the car responds to mods? I don't see where an opposing side could take issue with this.
To an extent I think what bs is being called is the lack of mods for the times.

First 11 second car had suspension intake and exhaust I think was the claim and ran 11.85 @ 115 or whatever. This car has practically gained a full second claiming to have done none of what the first 11 second car did, or at least if they did, they aren't sharing it.

Too early really to tell what the full modability of the car is. If it were more similar to a 4.6 than it could be determined fairly fast and easily but my understanding with this new 5.0 its like going from a LT1 to a LS1. Same concept and idea, but not sharing any of the same parts.

Yay. Now let's carry on with life... high 10's are nothing new. Break some records before cheering like school girls on a closed track. (And no I don't consider 'fastest 2011 mustang' a record when it's just been released.)

Edit: I just realized something... if the 2011 mustangs can run 11's with intake/exhaust/suspension and 10's with 100 shot then we are all screwed since every high school girl will own one! They're already terrible drivers with their 2xxhp mustangs. The mayans were right... this explains 2012 so clearly. Thanks a lot Ford.

Evan Smith ran a 12.6 @ 112mph in a stock 2011 GT with a 2.06 60ft time. Then put on DRs and went 12.3 @ 110mph, had to shift to 5th because of the tires.

I can easily see 11s with 1.6 to low 1.7 60ft times with the exhaust, k&n filter, and tuned.

Then you have JPS that went 10.96 @ 125 mph w/ exhaust, 4.56 gear, and a "small" shot of gas(my guess 80-100 shot).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzwU1q4pkoo

From what I understand they haven't even tuned the car yet. They went 10s within 24 hours of getting the car.

Their goal is 10s on motor. But they wanted to be the first 10 second 11 GT so they threw some spray on.

The 2011 Mustang GT still hasn't beat the stock time of a 2003 mustang. I don't know what 10 years you are talking about.

2003 mustang still looks to be faster stock than 2011 GT or 2010-11 SS.

2011 cobra is faster than 2003 cobra.. 2011 gt is faster than 2003 gt... if your comparing mustang compare gt to the gt and cobra to the cobra

I lost track of the Cobra after 2004. Now they have shelby gt350's, gt500's, gt500kr's... GT/CS... how can you respect that. They basically give you modded cars, rather than building a car to your liking. Let alone the body styling

Chevy keeps it simple... V6, V8. Want more? Mod it yourself. Either way you pay for it, and no two people are the same.

Lol whats the big argument?

Has anyone here ran 4.56s, slicks, and a 100 shot before??? That's a hell of a lot of gearing to hook on a 100 shot, as you can see by the nasty 60'.

Just a well set up car that can hook what it makes.

A 660hp Ford GT500 that still has factory warranty is not weak.

Ford gives you options, and warranties them.

How do you think it was in 1968? Ford knows how to sell cars.
