Just curious which is faster mod for mod? and by how much?

 

WS6 is a lighter platform, so it will be faster mod for mod. In stock form, they will be pretty comparable, but adding power to the WS6 will be more evident than on the GTO due to the weight.

 

The base hp of the gto is a good 70+ more, id prefer the gto my self.

I love the ta's but id rather upgrade to something better than the ls1 if I could.

 

Thats the dilemma Im in. I have an 01 WS6 right now but Im wanting something a little more luxurious and a nicer ride. The GTO fits the bill in every single way EXCEPT the way it looks.....Im just not very fond of the looks without changing a bunch of stuff.....

 

i have seen several stock ws6's beat up on ls2 goats. there heavy dont run mod to mod with a f-body. i have seen it several several times.

 

It is a better car in every way unless your only goal is going fast in a straight line.

And yes it definitaly looks more bland, but looks are very subjective.

 

i do like the seats and how a gto rides though.

 

Stick with the WS6. Just think of its looks. IMO the 4th gen WS6 is one of the most impressive and aggressive designs GM have created. With basic mods you have the stock GTO covered easily.

You will regret getting rid of it, IMO. Maybe you could save a bit more, keep the WS6, and get the GTO later, Just a thought.

 

Personally, I'd just want to put the GTO seats in the WS6 and call it a day.

 

Stock for stock the LS2 goat has the edge in a straight line.

 

From my experience 6.0 Goats are a tad faster than f-body stock for stock.
