even if hes tuned and has a bullydog, and boost 4x4 launches, you will win. he will RIP your *** outa the hole fast, but by 70-90 if your not by him, you suck at driving. oh btw, after all this crap, you BETTER video this crap! oh and, race him on the side his exhaust is NOT on, or you wont be able to see ne thing

That being said you should be fine. Originally this was just people trying to make sure you had your bases covered. As stated, avoid the exhaust side and get a full 1/4 out of the race. Anything less than an 1/8th and he may be able to hold you off.

Wow some info on this thread is very very wrong.
Thats a 7.3 powerstroke. Nice truck but SLOWWWWWW. A programmer will not make that truck fast at all. Even if it was it would need a trans really quick. Like most Superdutys its very heavy compared to a comparable Dodge or GM. Later model 7.3s suffer from the weak rods which are known to break.
6.0 Powerstrokes are easily the worst light duty truck in terms of reliability and even with a programmer,exhaust blah blah they are nothing for you to worry about it unless you are worried about coolant getting on your car.
The late model Dmaxes(06 LBZ) and up with bolt ons can be tough but they hit a wall at high 12s(ie the Allison Trans-needs internals and a converter)

all I know is my uncle has a f350 super duty with the twin turbo and it is slow as ****, feels torquey then falls on its face, shifts, repeat
diesels are the new ricers in the south, for every fast one there are several hundred who think they are fast just because they've seen a fast one...instead of fartcans they have black cloud tuners, bully dog stickers instead of apc, truck nuts instead of body kits, and all that good stuff

I would rather be followed and harassed by a caravan of beat to **** preludes/civics/3rd generation eclipses/Lancers than stuck in just one cloud of diesel smoke.

seen a few fast furds and dirtymaxes at the track, but nothin crazy.. I know damn sure they can be crazy fast, im not ignorant, its just not the norm, a simple programmer and an exhaust is normally as far as the average neck will go. Dont worry man, ull murder him, sounds like a tool. Land yachts take alot to make fast, simple math.
