Ok so this guy my roomate works with insists I'm a stupid kid and don't know cars at all and its really getting to me( I'm 23 and built a forged motor for my vette)
He insists even with a cam/stall/bolt ons I'm lucky to hit 12.7
What will my current set up run?

Smooth bellow
Slp lid and k&n filter with the slp cold air
and a tune

Have a vig 2800 and tsp 228r sitting In my closet

Oh btw he has n older 5.0 that he did best of 12.5 with built motor weight reduction and mickeys. But now hes turbo with no new times

 

Well, numerous bolt on/stall cars are in the 11s so he is a moron.

I keep telling him to browse ls1tech for just a few minutes to see how horribly wrong he is. He compares my ls1 to his 5.0 engine like they r the same.

I'm going to the track this saturday to get a slip. But its hot as hell In az!

I'm not sure yet. The nittos are going on In a couple days. I had them on my vette and cut 2.0 60' Haha but Its 6 spd and I suck

 

u should do alot better with an auto and it would go faster if u leave it in drive but do ur burnout in 1st then hit 2nd to get those tires nice and hot lol

 

you might be nipping on 12's right now with no stall and cam. You will easily be in the 12's with the cam and stall installed.

 

u could also take weight out of ur car and loosen up ur front sway bar so ur car will transfer weight better and get a good 60ft

i would start at 20 and work down if its not hookin but on those i wouldnt go any lower than 14 or 13 psi my ol man had bfg drag radials and went as low as 12psi also do u still have the stock stall?

 

if u have the stock stall i would stage it at like 1500 and work ur way up until it spins ull find the sweet spot and get ur best 60 this way

 

throw that stall in there. there is about 4 tenths right there

 

also dont do a burnout in the water box it will throw water up in ur wheel wells and cause u to spin
