00 WS6 VS 2011 5.0 GT Stang
#21
Contrary to some people's thoughts of the 5.0 on this board the cars really are no jokes. Just look at the 2011+ Mustang thread on SVTP. There's a number of people running low 12's, high 11's with a few bolt-on's.
It's nice to see Ford finally offer something decent in their GT model, and your car put up a very nice fight OP. 'Grats on the win!

was out with my friend, he has a 2000 T/A with intake, tune, full exhaust, and cam. He put down 402WHP on a mustang dyno. Trapped 115-116 this season in 89 degree weather.
I am still only 385RWHP, tune only. we knew he would win, I wanted some benchmarking before/after my full exhaust that goes on in 7 days.
Traffic kept us from doing too many runs.
60 Rolls - He would walk ever so slightly, maybe 1/2 car by 85. But when he shifts to 3rd I was able to make up the distance., Let off at 110 and was maybe 3/4 - 1 car behind
We did it again, 60-110 and I lost by about 3/4 a car.
I was not expecting to keep up this well for tune only. When I get my full SW exhaust and JLT intake(hopefully 30-40RWHP) I am very excited to see the results
