00 WS6 VS 2011 5.0 GT Stang
I got a race coming up with a friend of mine.
My car
2000 Trans am WS6 M6
MTI Lid
Stock LS1 intake
227/233 on 112lsa custom ground cam
Kooks Lt's with ORY, Magnaflow with E-cutout.
ASP under-drive pulley
stock 3.42 gears
402/378 on a Mustang Dyno
VS
2011 Mustang 5.0 GT
6 speed with 3.73 gears from factory
Stainless Works Full Exhaust with high flow cats
JLT CAI
Dyno tune
He dynoed at 385/369 with just a SCT basemap, otherwise stock.
As soon as he gets the new dyno tune we are going to do a couple races.
I'm thinking he is going to take me because of my gearing. What do you guys think ?

Race already happened. Do I get in trouble for linking SVTP?

When he does the exhaust, intake, re-tune we will race again, but on video. This will probably be next week. I expect to lose by a few car lengths. I think with 4.11 gears and an Ls6 intake it would be closer.
Also, he will be bringing his Mustang to the drags this Wednesday so I will let everyone know what he runs. Maybe even get a video of him at the track.

00 Cammed T/A vs 11 Mustang 5.0
I was out with my friend, he has a 2000 T/A with intake, tune, full exhaust, and cam. He put down 402WHP on a mustang dyno. Trapped 115-116 this season in 89 degree weather.
I am still only 385RWHP, tune only. we knew he would win, I wanted some benchmarking before/after my full exhaust that goes on in 7 days.
Traffic kept us from doing too many runs.
60 Rolls - He would walk ever so slightly, maybe 1/2 car by 85. But when he shifts to 3rd I was able to make up the distance., Let off at 110 and was maybe 3/4 - 1 car behind
We did it again, 60-110 and I lost by about 3/4 a car.
I was not expecting to keep up this well for tune only. When I get my full SW exhaust and JLT intake(hopefully 30-40RWHP) I am very excited to see the results
Cliffs: 60-110, lost by just about 1 car. Awaiting revenge when my mods come. Videos next time...
