Wow.. 0_o I need to get rid of my LS1 and start playing with the NEW tech that's out there.. (LS3/7) Mine is making around 460-480flywheel now... But it's an LS6 top end with a "baby" TQ cam.
I've heard that is a pretty stout engine. Makes good power but makes about 10% more when it's broken in. I don't even think I've heard of any "new" LS1/6 numbers vs broken in engine dyno numbers or chassis dyno numbers.

Not RW unless they sprayed it or something. I've heard that is a pretty stout engine. Makes good power but makes about 10% more when it's broken in. I don't even think I've heard of any "new" LS1/6 numbers vs broken in engine dyno numbers or chassis dyno numbers. And they're running a DynoJet too = higher numbers and a freewheel dyno. Good for cranking out high numbers.

Considering on the engine dyno, most of the time they have an open air CAI, large free flowing headers, and don't run the accessories on the front of the motor, that sounds pretty accurate.

what this guy said. The only engines that really stay the same horspower are like gen I chevy motor's with open carb and open header's who are only using the essential accessories for drag racing.
