WSsick vs. Mach Boy - Predictions?

WSsick vs. Mach Boy - Predictions?
Friday (hopefully) will be our long awaited rematch. We ran twice a couple months ago, but it wasn't a fair fight since Mach Boy had just swapped in his T56 and was learning how to beat on it that night. It turned out to be a spin fest for him. I have also added an LS6 intake and tune since then.
This time should be better, in all likelihood it will be some 40-50 rolls since traction from a dig will be an issue with the cold roads. If the weather is decent, there is a tiny chance of a dig race, but don't count on it.
MACH BOY-04 Mach 1, FR500 Cams/Valvetrain, Ported H/I, MAC LTs/PC, Borla Stingers, 4.10s I think (Rob I creeped on you on SVTP)
ME- lid, ls6 intake, longtubes, true duals, 3.73s, tuned
~weight should be close (within 100lbs or so)
~power should be very close (within 10-15hp)
I think it is going to be a VERY close race, I might give him the edge because of the gears.
Place your bets. (Poll up top)

I always thought Mach 1's were LS1 territory stock.... Since he has cam's and valvetrain with higher gears. I don't see how it would be a problem for the Mach 1... Unless he gets no traction and spins.

My brother had a Mach and it was just an intake/exhaust car and was VERY strong for what it was. I pulled on him EVERY time with just bolt ons, especially up top, but with Mach Boy's mods, it will be close. So... when is this going to happen?

We are planning on next Friday. The big advantage I have is more seat time with my car. I can drive the **** out of this thing, and I'm not so sure how his progression with the T56 is coming.
He said he made 360rwhp in STD (most people compare in SAE) so with corrected numbers those are going to be very close.
I also thought that his powerband would be a lot better, seeing as the cams will help breathe a lot better up top. So I say I'll either be on his bumper or 1 car back from that.

If both drivers are equal I say mach by 2-3 cars....my buddy has an stalled auto mach with CAI, midpipe, tune and tires and walked a 490whp H/C/I GTO with slicks.....when I say walked I mean like 5-6 lengths.

I don't see how a car with a TWO HUNDRED hp deficit could be "walked", even if the Mach is a little lighter. Don't see that happening. Not saying that it didn't happen, but whatever happened I wouldn't call it a race.
OP, I think he will pull but not too hard. And his T56 should be MUCH easier to beat on than the stock 5sp. When my bro did the swap, he couldn't believe how much easier it was to shift.

Then the driver of the GTO can't drive for ****. Or just didn't know how to set his stuff up. I have a video of my brother's Mach pulling about 6 lenghts on a H/C Procharged SS. But my bro could launch his car like no other whereas the SS driver couldn't drive worth a ****. Anything can happen on the street I guess.

After the Z28, probably a sub-$2,000 Honda. Basically, I am dead set on a turbo car. If I sell this car, then save up for year or so, I can buy everything I need for the turbo kit at once in cash by next spring. Then, I'll just find a nice, lower mileage car to put it all on, and have a nasty street car. However, if I hold out until summer, I could throw a forged 370ci under the hood and really have some fun (blowing up the T56). I think I can go a year without an LSX car, but we'll see. It's all for the great good though. Without selling it, it would take me longer than I care to wait.
After all, I have to get this thing going before the lady & I get hitched. She's already asking for a ring.
