Default Ported 243 and 228r cam?how much hp?

How much horse power do u think a stage 2 Texas speed 243 heads with there 228r cam and ls6 intake??how much at crank and how much rear wheel would ya guestimate?

400rwhp and 380rwtq roughly

i made 410 and 389 rwhp/tq with that cam. small valve 709 heads, fast intake and tb, and the usual boltons, through a catback. m6 tranny and a shortblock with over 100k miles

im assuming you want numbers for a stock ls1 also. so id say around what i made, you stand to make more with the FAST setup. depending on the tuner and dyno also. but let me ask this, why the 228r, its an ok cam, but a bit small. why not an ms3, those heads will keep flowing after the 228r quits.

i put 400 rwhp with stock 799 heads 228r on a 112 professional products 96mm with a nickwilliams 95 throttle body through a a4

agreed given the heads are milled some to bump the compression and all else is well with the car/tune.

I almost did TEA stage 2 243 heads and a 228R cam, researched both the FAST90/92 and LS6 intake, A4 numbers were around 400 to 425'ish rwhp, for a stock cube LS1.

Local guy has TFS 225's and a 228R cam his numbers were 440/430 if I remember right, LS6 intake.

I ended up going a diffrent route.

I made 417hp/400tq when I had my 228r, stock head, and
Fast 90/90. With 243's u should be in the Mid to lower 400's atleast!. Ditch the ls6 and get a fast intake. U'll pick up 20 whp over the ls6.

was about to say the same thing.. I made 432rwhp with my 228r cam i had in a t/a and it was with a ls6 intake
