ill take the a4 from a lower roll but if you really start wind it up there i would expect the m6 to start pulling.

a4 should take it but the 4.10's may make it pretty close

The race finally happened, we both hooked, then spun, then hooked.

A4 won by a 1/2 car. There is video, and it'll be on YouTube shortly.

The M6 driver was shitty (without watching a video)....no way he shoulda lost. A stock convertered auto should get beat everytime by a good M6 driver with an equally modded car.

No kidding. My buddy has an M6 Camaro that is bone stock besides 4.10 gears and the car was pulling low 8.2's in the 1/8th. There is no way a stock stall A4 car would run those kinds of times with only an exhaust.

What year camaro?

In my 98 trans am fully loaded, I'm sure it weighed more since his was a camaro, with only a loudmouth and lid, zero other mods, ran low 8.4s@84.5mph.. This was also with a less than desirable 1950+DA.
410s would have helped out a bit. If your buddy had a base tune, even shift points rev limiter etc, ls6 intake, ported tb, tires even a nitto, etc etc.. those aren't that awesome of times.
I have raced at least five manuals I can think of, on stretched and track, with similar mods (never more equal at best) and have never been beat either way.

You would have to have a pretty good driver to outrun an auto all else equal.
