My last hope for the fifth gen is going to be the Z28 model if it ever comes out.

Not holding my breath though.

Chevy, drop 400 lbs from the Camaro and add 25hp and you might do better.

Engine remapping, etc.

He will be taking it back to the track this weekend on a full slick.

You can hear it spinning the DR's im guessing it will pickup a tenth or 2 with full slicks, IF the weather is as good.

And I agree the Boss paint is ugly as hell.
Very fast, I wonder if a stocker will ever hit those numbers like that again. Window sticker is on purpose, my guess is a little bit of weight reduction. Not hating, just a little speculation. Why bother with 110oct when the stock computer won't recognize anything higher than 93, is that correct?

Whew! what a relief. And here I was thinking that was the only scheme they came in.

Hmm that's a very good question. Can someone clarify?

Don't like the color scheme either, but you can buy them plain, so that is not an issue. The car is impressive in its performance. It's like a mild heads/cam 4th gen, but with a warranty. That's cool. Chevy will answer I'm sure and we will all benefit.

The only weight reduction I would think of, is the lighter weight of the drag wheels compared to the stock ones. The 12.26 stock time sounds dead on for what a 2011 GT should run with ~30-40 more hp.

The stang is real guys. Motor trend ran a 12.3 at 115 mph in one. So yea a few actual owners will touch 11.9's at 116-118 mph in those cars stock within 6 months.

Basically it is just as fast as a LS3 vette.

Wake the F up chevy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do we have to spend

50-65K on a corvette to trap 117 mph
65K on a CTSV to trap 117 mph
75K on a Z06 to trap 125 mph
110K on a ZR1 to trap 130 mph

40k camaroSS to trap 111 mph

What happenned to the good old days like back in 1998 when 27K got you a camaro with an underrated 350 crank HP that could run door to door with 45K corvettes and beat 30K cobras,50K porshes ect.

Now 40K gets you a slow car from Chevy

For what...30 somthing K you can get a 12.7 at 113 mph mustang or for 40 somthingK get a 12.3 at 117 mph BOSS.

I love this board but chevy is really pissing me off with these 2010 13.0 second camaros! Go Big or just roll over and die and let Ford Hump away.

Found On the side of the Road Dead my a$$. Alive and beating the hell out of us

Isn't that supposed to compete with the GT500?

I have to make a retraction - R&T posted a 117mph trap speed running an 12.3. Then they only trapped 109mph in the new 392 Challenger so WTFK?

Screw all this quarter mile talk. From what I'm reading all over the Boss and Boss (R?) are incredible on the track. I'd like to see a 2003-2004 Z06's track time like at Laguna compared to the Boss'.
