Default Build Predictions

Im currently in the middle of my build and i was just curious to see what others would think it will make. I was hoping for 500 wheel is that a realistic goal for the mods that i have listed?

98 SS A4
Stock bottomend LS1 W/ 72k
P1SC 7-8lbs
Twin 4.5in ICs
Vigilante 4000k Stall
3.73s
BAP
80lbs Injectors
Stock 853s
615/598 232/240 114+2 lsa
Pacesetter LTs and ORY
Flowmaster Catback with a cutout
LS6 intake w/ EGR delete

Yes I would say 500 rwhp is realistic with the camshaft you have. Bob

Still have the stock 10 bolt? 500whp is about right

Yep planning on keeping the 10bolt til i go with a th350.. Man i hope it makes these number i forgot for fuel i have a BAP

So got the car on the rollers this past week and was totally blown away with the results... the car ONLY made just under 345 and flat lined a 6600RPM on 7lbs WTF!!!!! the convertor flashed to 5500RPM... No smoke and no nothing out of the ordinary just really down on power... Pulled the Blower off to hope diagnose the issue and it made 316/252 in second gear, @ 268 torque in third. So would be @ 335 if we could make full pull in third so definitely down on power. is the converter is eating up the power? It flashes to 4900 or so on the motor. The convertor is WAY TOO LOOSE but can that be the reason why no numbers are so low?

If the car is driving through the converter, which it sounds like it is, it can trash the converter and send debris through the transmission. Been there and done that, had to have the transmission rebuilt. I'd pull the transmission and converter out and have the converter and transmission looked at. With the blower you need a triple disc converter. Bob
