Default Had a run in with a GTR...

So, got the LQ9 in my car running right.. Still not tuned but it's basically an iron version of my old engine with a fast intake so it runs just fine.. But I've been filling it with ethanol blended gas to be safe.
I had a skyline pull up behind me at a light on an empty road.... I took off as fast as I could.. He took off faster and pulled next to me by second gear.
But then I pulled away... Traffic up ahead so i shut it down in 4th. The GTR pulls ahead and signals me to pull over; first thing he says is "what the f$&@ do you got in that thing". He says that he just got his car last week and there must be something wrong because I pulled away pretty quick, he told me his transmission may be going.. And the 09s were prone to that.
Kinda sucks.. Nice guy and everything.. Almost feel bad for ruining his day.
But I got to thinking is his transmission really going or do these cars run out of steam after 60??

they definitely don't run out of steam at 60
I barely pulled one on my built Gsxr 750, either your car is fast as hell, or his is messed up

They definetly do not run out of steam. They are easy 10 second@130mph cars with just intake/tune.
