I have a bone stock 04 z06. My older brother just ordered a '13 ZL1. There is NO way I can let him have the faster car.

What is the cheapest option with the least impact on reliability and DD ability to make my car comfortably faster than a '13 ZL1 ?

Yeah, stock C5 Z06's are notorious for being VERY low 12-second cars in the hands of a good driver. The ZL1 can run around 11.5-11.7 seconds on decent rubber. I'd say the bolt on's and a tire will put you right at about that range and you guys would exchange wins.

If you really want to beat him you could spray or put a cam in it on top of the bolt on's/tune/tire combo.

The zl stock is only about a 115-117 mph car..you should be all over him with just a set of headers and a tune.. your car is so light..

I can't wait to get home from Afghanistan and pick up my ZL1. Going to be a fun 45 days home. Gotta make it down south while I'm home so we can line up the Z06 and the ZL1

Please record this.... And also you can make the Z06 a great race with him but if he doesnt care about warranty there are some very simple things you can do to that supercharged car such as a pulley. At any rate both cars are great.
