408 w/ AFR 230 need an idea of #'s

Default 408 w/ AFR 230 need an idea of #'s

Hey guys finishing up my 408 swap in my 2001 mustang and it goes as follows

Forged 408 w/ Diamond flat tops
AFR 230 heads
24x/24x .62x 112+2 custom Comp Can
PP 96mm intake/ tb
1 7/8 LSx swap headers
Dual cutouts

T56
Stock Ford 8.8 w/ 3.73s

Any ideas what power I could possibly be making? Will be running dual walbro pumps and 42lb injectors so fuel won't be an issue!

247/253 .615 112+2

I believe you will break the 500 mark. Probably 520s - 530's.

That would be kickass...just want to make enough power to justify going with a 408 lol. I don't think I can go wrong with this head/cam combo.

Anythings better than the 310 I had with the 2v that was in it before haha

Haha yea yea! Car had built bottom end..H/C/I full Bolton's...peppy car but every time I drove my dads h/c ws6 I wanted to kill myself haha.

Did it seriously make 310 with H/C/I? lol

Ive never seen anyone put an Ls in a new edge, though i'm sure it's been done before. I really like that body style, i have one, lol, but the 2v is quite underwhelming unless you're 16 and have only ever had an 80's civic before,

Yea it was set up for boost so I had it a little lower comp.too so I was hoping for more. Yes it was fast when I was in h.s but now that I hang with much faster cars its not cutting it. And I won't ever sell the car so I figured I'd do something different

I too think you'll break the 500 rwhp mark. I'd say we need to run each other after Magic Dragon, but it wouldn't be much of a race. Would be fun though. Will you have everything done by then?

I should...the AFRs are what is holding it up right now. If its not done by May I will need to have a talk with my shop haha. Hell yea we should run though ...

Does the shop have the AFR heads, or are they currently on someone else's ride? What did you end up paying for them anyway? I know you said you got them for a real good deal; would like to know just how good a deal you got

If you're ride is done and you have it at Magic Dragon, then we'll run em. Just make sure anyone who witnesses it knows your Stang is under LSx power.

The shop should have em right now...but it was a little over 2k...which I thought was pretty damn good for those lol.

And I think people will know something is up just when I start it up haha...at least I would be curious if I was them lol.

Very true. Even people who aren't "car guy's" will know that no New Edge Ford Mustang sounds like that. I'm very interested in seeing how your build goes and what number she puts down.
