a 90-91 6spd coupe can trap 100-101 in the 1/4. Automatics a mph or 2 less. LT1 6spd Vette Coupes do about 104-105, automatics a few mph less. From what I've seen an automatic L98 with the 3.07 axle is closer in performance to a 6spd L98 than the LT1's are to each other, probabaly because the torque band the long runners produce.

I can't really believe that M6 LS1 F-Body vs M6 LT1 Vette is going to be a close race.... ?? They must run WAAAAAAY Better than I remember.

Mid-low 13's in the 1/4. A really good race with one, would be with an early LS1 F-bod 6spd vert.

My A4 '89 Corvette with 3.07 rear option was good for a 14.1 @ 100 mph with the only mods being exhaust and drag radials. After a number of choice mods (LT headers, ported intake, SLP runners, ported base, pulleys and a stall) the car consistently rips 1.7x 60 foot times without any real traction issues. My L98 is still quicker off of the line than my SS, however it really only takes the high end of first gear for my LS1 to start pulling it back in (presuming I had a decent launch). Despite the intake mods for the L98, it still starts to choke out just short of 5,000 rpm, however my LS1 runs quite strong until 6,500 rpm.

94 ( Auto i think) C4 Vette Vs. 98 M6 LS1
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zlHtgj_Lmvo&feature=related

Vette goes 13.6
Z28 goes 13.4

The vette sounds like an auto in that vid, but a 6 speed LT1 would fair even better.

and that's saying a lot with your mods listed especially 3.90 gears. Back in the early 00's, I had a 90 5.7 GTA. I tuned it up, free mods, put the complete SLP package on it(Exhaust, runners, CAI, chip) and rebuilt the tranny with a 2400 stall and shift kit, it was a stoplight beast

I surprised several LS1 cars including C5 Vettes. I'm hoping some gears and a converter in my 98 will come close to feeling how good that car felt off the line.

See post #15 but yeah it sounds like an auto Vette vs a 6spd Camaro.

That's about .4 seconds, which is about right for a late 6spd F-bod compared to an automatic LT1 Vette at the end of the 1/4.

Some automatic LS1 F-bods have 3.23's, if they were to race they are probably really close from a dig.
All SS and WS6 A4 came with 3.23 from the factory

This is true, but some regular T/A's Formulas and Z28's had them too, unfortunately mine isn't one of them.

89's had the ZF 6-speed gearbox for manuals. 88 was the last year for the 4+3

I've owned two L98 powered cars, a 91 Z28, and a '90 IROC-Z. They were fun cars with a lot of ***** off the line. When my 91 was stock, I could take stock LT1 Fbodies off the line, and through the 1/8th mile. After the 1/8th though, it was a different story. They'd shoot past me like I hit the brakes.
I was always amazed how quickly they fell flat after about 4800RPM

85-88 L98 Vettes had the 4+3(I had an 85 with one)

89-91 had the ZF 6spd....they are fun cars driving around town, with great throttle response.

i havent raced one but i remember a while back my cousin had a 95 vette white with fattys in the back (auto) and other unknown mods if he had any. i remember this so clearly.. we were at a stop light and i unbuckled my seatbelt cause i noticed my shoe lace was untied so i bent over to tie it and he ripped it hard off the line, my head whiplashed to the headrest and i thought i was going to fly in the backseat. as soon as we went deeper into the rpms it calmed itself down. but it was fun to drive around the city

but my T/A feels like it pulls slightly stronger out on the highway
I had a very similar combo once...I had a '95 Corvette LT1 automatic (with 2.59 gears ) and when I needed a new daily driver I decided on a new 2000 Camaro Z28 automatic (with 3.23 gears) which I still have and LOVE to this day.
Had both cars together for about 3 years and with similar mods (thermostat, opened air box (lid on the LS1) and Hypertech their best ETs were almost dead even at the track in similar conditions.
Once the Z28 got more mods though there was no looking back, that car went right into the 12s (and later 11s) not long after.

Corvette LT1 - 13.20@105.47mph
Camaro Z28 - 13.20@107/108mph

Since selling the LT1 a few years back I am once again back with the yellow Corvette/black Z28 combo and yes the Z28 is still slightly quicker (but does trap much lower) this time around LOL.

my freind has a 91 L98 auto we went from 70-100 a couple of times, me 4 people he with2 and i would pull right past. but i must say that vette put up much more of a fight than the 07 mustang did from those speeds.
