Has anyone raced the new Challenger?

I agree. Just depends on the definition of "young". Based on the price, I'm wondering if the demographic will be identical to the GT500? The nostalgia crowd?

Only time will tell.
Nice numbers on your car btw. If it were me, I'd take the Charger SRT-8 over the Challenger. Why go with 2 doors if they make a 4 door that's just as fast.

Well the Charger does handle better but it is "misnamed" and the Challenger definitely looks cooler. Also the Chally gets a 6M, 3.90 LSD next year.

BTW, I raced a new Challenger SRT8 the other day in my camaro and walked him from about 70-120. It made me so damn proud of my little LT1

^That's a racecar. Until I see that thing driving down the street to the local cruise night with valid plates then it might as well not exist as far as I'm concerned.

If they actually made it (HIGHLY DOUBTFUL) and it weighed the same as the current one even with the bigger motor, then it'd be a pretty cool car. It would definitely be fast, but imagine if they put that motor in the car (or even just the current motors) and dropped the weight to 3500 lbs. With the auto and some drag radials that car would be a monster instead of one that just looks fast until you compare the dyno sheet to the timeslip.

I like it. Looks great and for a 4100 pound car, it moves out pretty good (low 13s @ 110mph).
There are a few running around here (SRT8s, RTs and even the base V6s). The orange and black stripe SRT8s look badass.

I raced an orange one here locally, SRT8 and all that bullcrap. My bolt on LS1 put about 4 cars on it from about 35 to 110. When I mean bolt on I mean intake, full exhaust, programmer, no internal work. Shoulda seen the look on his face when I told him it was just a bolt on. It looked pretty good but it was probably a foot taller than my car, felt like racing a small truck!

Another race I know of is my friend on here (FBGSU02) has a WS6 with the MS3 cam and terminator heads put a bad spanking on one in Atlanta, it wasn't a fair race I know but he said the driver looked like he had taken daddy's car out for a spin...lol.

Not to get off topic, but the looks of the GTO are pure opinion. I don't think anyone will say that they are aggressive looking, but a car doesn't need to be aggressive to be good looking. Personally, I like the way the GTO's look.
