I like how it looks. Though it is pretty quite for a 6.1L which might fool you if it's a low 13 sec car. Though do you really expect a car with those monsterous rims and street tire to be a match quite yet. I have two in my town and tonight at cruise they both showed up. I don't know anything about options for the challenger but it needs an exhuast package to sound as large as the car is. This car is huge. I couldn't imagine smaller rims on this car that would look right so there aren't many drag radials to use. That or it will take some tall sidewalls to fill the fenders. It won't take long and I post up again.

ALSO Hotrod Magazine.. put some bolt-ons on one and went "ALMOST in the 12's" LMFAO ..he went like 13.07 LOL so a stock f-body should be a good race

Oddly they also had DRs and I believe the Diablo tuner. That is a recipe for mid 12s easy. They really effed that one up. It did run a 8.227 or so in the 1/8th though....

H/C/I and a few other mods can get up to around 11k with intall. And you only get between 415 to 440rwhp depending on the tune and how much power is not "lost" in the converter. The SRT8 FINALLY has a supercharger that seems to work for em. Its just so damn expensive to make an SRT8 faster. I wish Dodge would put that engine in a 3200 pound car.

The only thing missing is gears. It's tedious to look up, but this is a decent source of info:

As far as a lighter platform - no question. However, I'm guessing it's a heavier motor than the LS3.

Not my info, I found it for your education
"My baseline dyno numbers was 373RWHP and 370 LbsTq. I then installed the Kooks Longtube and Highflow cats and HHP Stage 1 cam. With the Custom tune my numbers were then 420RWHP and 423 lbsTQ.
Driveablity is just like stock no lopes and you know and feel those extra horses. If your interested at the 1/4 track times your looking at around 12.9-12.6 secs on street tires with ET @ 109-111mph.
There is another SRT8 with the exact RWHP that ran in the low 12s (12.2, 12.3) with DRs."

Heads and cam DO NOT cost 11K ...

You can buy a 426 shortblock for 4K

Look at the size of these cam shafts also, they are seem pretty small to me and are still putting out pretty good power.

Word on the street is that they pretty much suck due to their obeseness. Think of a fatter GT500...with 75 less hp...and not as easy to gain hp due to no blower...can anyone say "underachieving"?
