Default What should I expect on spray?

With my mods in my sig I ran a best of 13.25 @ 105.53 2.08 60' but on that pass I was throwing a code for a low voltage knock sensor. Since then I have changed both sensors and wiring harness and it runs harder than it did before. Just wondering what it should run on a 100 shot and a 125 shot. I plan on running a mix of 93 and race gas in the tank. Only weight reduction is !spare and jack, !front sway bar

Based on my experience with my old '00 A4 Z28, a 100 shot with your mods
should knock off 1 full second off your ET and you should pick up 10mph or
so on your trap speed.

My guess would be 12.0 @ 117mph on a 100 shot and maybe 11.90's or so
on a 125 hit.

Well, with your mods, sticky track, and good weather....You should be high 12's without the squeeze.

With the squeeze I predict 11.8 on the 100 shot and 11.7 on the 125 shot. Either way, deep in the 11's unless you make a mistake or there is a mechanical problem.

I've also read that the Nittos need to be heated up with a John Force burnout to get them to stick really well. But, don't know.

He's got a 4L60E trans so they will hook much better for him that
someone with a T-56. Either way, a really good burnout on Nittos
is always a good idea.

my 13.2 was at my shitty local track, this friday I plan on going to HRP is Baytown. On average cars run 2-3 tenths faster there than they do where I ran. I have a little bet going with a buddy: I say I can run a 12.89 or faster on motor or trap more than 108 mph, he says no. My goal is 11.anything on the 125, also would I be safe running the 125 on the stock tune and pump gas or would I be better off mixing in some race gas?

Personally, I would throw it on a dyno and check your A/F on the hose.

Race gas is cheap insurance. Mixa few gallons of 103 or 109 in with some 93
octane gas. Stay away from leaded race gas if you have cats still.

Also, some colder plugs are a good idea too.

Heat range 6 plugs, stock tune and 93 octane is safe on a small shot like that. Checking the air/fuel is best way to know how safe you are because no matter what you do if it leans out you can get into trouble.

They are good plugs. I'm running them now and I'm making a lot of boost. I have them gapped down to .024" though.

Honestly.....the only real drawback to colder plugs is that they tend to foul a little quicker than hotter plugs. Other than that, they really shouldn't cause much of any power loss at all. Just check them every other oil change (6000 miles or so).

Thats why I say my tr6's are good off spray also. I run mine 10K miles and they come out looking great. They dont foul in my car even if I dont spray.

Your sixty sucks, that's what is keeping you out of the 11s.

You should be at 1.7X or better NA

well guys Im going back this friday on the 125 shot. Since I made this thread I changed my ORY/Borla set up for the duals in my sig. When I did the 12.3 It was around 1100 DA. It is supposed to be a high of 55* and a low of 38* friday with only a 10% chance of rain so Im hopin for some negative D.A.'s. Im determined to get into the 11's Ill post up my results saturday morning.

X2, you need to practice launching before you go back. and be sure to do a nice burnout before every pass. i get consistent 2.0x 60's on stock size sumitomos, you should be doing much better on DRs

oh, and those dam knock sensors suck don't they? i had the same problem on my passes, i'm convinced my baby has got a few tenths left in her.
