FS ls1 shortblock
I'm surprised. This bottom end is just a set of aftermarket forged pistons away from being a great budget forced induction motor, the stock crank and rods can still take a lot. Would even make a great heads and cam motor (pistons are already clearanced for a healthy cam) for say, a Mustang or 240SX LSx swap.
Who swapped the engines?
Did anyone inspect the block?
Let me talk with the Cartek crew to see how much it would be to get it forged. It may make sense for me to get a forged block before I put the turbos on.

I know Nick's car is in Garwood (he now lives there) but not sure if the motor is still at his parent's house or not which is much further away. Either way he wouldn't have any problem getting it to Garwood if it's not already there.
Cartek is building his new motor right now as well.

I pulled the motor out myslef. Nobody inspected it but if you were going to have Cartek forge it I would assume they would check it out for us. Cartek is only a mile away from me, if that. So bringing it there would not be a problem. If you are close to garwood you can come check it out yourself if you want.
I'll PM you my cell. Give me a call if you have any questions.
I will give you a call later today. I want to get an idea of how much it would cost to get this block forged, so I will try to stop by Cartek today.
