That really is one of the few truly great results of all this actually.

 

OMG yes, we were partyin' in the halls and bouncing from room to room, it really was an amazing night.
Then we all went to IHOP the next morning (minus the bride and groom of course who were on their way to the airport) for some more funz.

 

Ken u know how I feel about u and your ex and it saddens me that u couldnt work it out but I know what thats all about and I know both of u will move onto better things as I have and my ex has too..

Sorry to hear that the marriage didn't work out for you two Kenny.

I guess I feel lucky that things have worked out for us, as our ten year is this may. We've been through tough times, but in the end it's been our commitment and love for each other that has pulled us through, not to say it's been all happy bliss. I hope you can find the same one day.

amen to that.....4 months and im a free man...same situation...wife cheated...tried to work it out....im in military overseas right now....gav a second chance....she blew it....so im blowing her off.....more money for the car

 

16 years for me and two kids also. Hopefully it will get easier, but it definately sucks over the holiday. Fortunately for me the kids like being with me more than the myspace freak.

 

Going through the same BS now but mine is much worst because we have three kids (2 year old twins and a 10 year old). The whole thing would wrap up pretty easy if we didn't have any kids. PM me if you need any advise. A few things that I will tell you here and I'm not even stretching the true -

You really don't know the person your with until you goto divorce court.

When you goto court... THEY LIE!!!! Not supposed to lie under oath? HA!!! My wife and her attorney lied like it was their job! Actually, wife's attorney... yeah, it is her job!

Plan for what is going to happen. Especially before you get served.

Make sure you interview many attorneys, find the ones that don't charge for the first visit, compare what they say, see who you are comfortable with, ask friends who they have used, don't lay down, don't back down, don't believe it's going to be fair, do what you have to so you can make it fair.

It might suck right now. There might be days when you don't want to get out of bed, don't want to eat, don't want to go out with friends ect... It will get better! And when it does get better, your probably going to think - "hey, I like this!".

Yeah..I was in your shoes 10 years ago.. My X/Gold digging wife Cheated on me and put me throuh hell.. As they say life go's on!! If it wasnt for my friends helping through im not sure what I would have done.. Being alone is not what you want to do..Thats just gives you lots of time to think to bring your self down..Hang out with your true friends and try to go out and have a good time.. I'm sorry things didn't work out. That really sux. It sounds like you will be happier though, and the fact that you don't have kids is truly a fortunate thing in this case.

My brother just went through the same thing, so I kind of know what it can be like. Like you, he did not have kids so he has rebounded pretty well and is happy.
