Make my kids work more, I'm old enough now to have them support me and my HABIT now,

Although they might not like that idea.

LOL. Bottom line, if thie car sells, the new project will take a year and a half or so to get together, and when I'm finished with it, I expect shake down passes to be a good bit faster then the car I am playing with now has ever gone.

You see the sig picture, that's the current project that's a solid 9.5x car, so draw your own conclusions as to what the next one will be capable of. And I'll leave it at that.

My plans include a CAI/Catback and tune for the 1994 Z28 and then finally some 13 second passes. I'd also like to get my G8 tuned and maybe an intake, then hit some low 13's. Mostly, I want to do alot of cruising.

Just getting the rx7 fully running and functioning. Theres still a bit of work to do to get it from where it is now (just driving around the neighborhood) to a reliable cruiser.

Then I gotta sort out the suspension/drivetrain and get her to hook. Once it hooks. I'm putting the clutch and nitrous in.

I am guilty of this as much as anybody, the need to do something different while the car is parked, and beleive me the will and knowledge is there but sometimes priorities shift and if I can still keep the car and enjoy it, thats a win, win. I was just talking with my Bro about it the other night and it's no fun rushing anything.

My Hood getting painted was a monkey on the back like you would never beleive, only a few knew my anguish.

I am a happy Camper

I'm gonna pull the trans and rebuild it (well, I'll pull it and buy the parts; my brother will rebuild it ). I have a brand new BMR relocation crossmember and a brand new cutout sitting in my room that I got for Christmas that I'll put on when I do the trans. Gonna get the cutout welded in real nice and I'm curious to see how the car drives with the new crossmember. The trans still works but second gear is giving me a hard time so I'd rather get it done while it's off the road for the winter anyways.

The goal for next year is to get a roll-cage-required timeslip without doing the H/C swap that I'm hoping to do in the future. I figure if I can gain a little power from the cutout, drop a few pounds from some suspension mods that are in the works, and tweak the suspension so I can launch the car a bit higher without spinning, that should be enough to take off the .25 that I need to give me an 11.49. And if I get close but don't hit it, I can just start powershifting to shave off that little bit.

Ls2 402,s480 turbo, meth kit,4l80 trans,10 point cage and a Midwest fab 9 narrowed 3" per side and some Street Lite wheels. I'm looking to put the car hopefully in the 9 second range.

Then, I need to find a place to live. Are my priorities screwed up? haha

While your putting the cage in, should just order the 9'' rear now The stocker will last for 3 launches with any kind of tire.Chrome single pro mod wheelie bars would be cool also. Hey its only money.......::

My 10 bolt has lasted many passes so far with 1.55 60's w/MT Drag radials. I'll keep the 10 bolt till it blows up then get a 12 bolt

I thought with all the suspension work and performance enhancements, why not just back half the car and get it over with, do it right do it once and be happy when the front wheels are dangleing 3 feet in the air till the 60ft mark....
