Your right but I've got a couple things on my side. Shawn and I aren't scared to line up against ANYONE in drag radial with our new setup, motor definitely has the parts to make some SERIOUS steam.

I think you have a solid legit shot at it Phil. I dunno exactly how much you ran the car last year, but I look at it like this... your first season out running the car, and you're already probably in the top ten fastest lsx cars ever, and yo made what 30 or 40 passes probably?

That's one hell of a start, and with what you have learned, and the people you have to work with, the results are bound to follow.

Good luck with your goals, they're high, but I think they're attainable. Plus, it's awesome to see people pushing the envelope, so that guys like myself can learn what not to do

98 you forgot about the needed safety stuff. I hope you're putting a mcloud bellhousing, harness and a rollbar in that car if your goals are to get the car into the 10 second range.

actually we made about 8-9 1/8 miles passes and probably 8-9 1/4 mile passes, with major changes in between passes,we were just starting to figure out what it wanted-this year should be awesome-more power, better suspension, more knowledge.

wow you ran the car alot less then I'd have thought.

With that little time on it and the results that you already have seen I'd suspect you're in a better position then I figured

If memory serves me correctly our 1st T & T day was a bust, track was horrible, track temps exceeded 145 degrees. We had a 2nd T & T on sunday and our 4th pass out we went a 5.0 to the 1/8, next pass out we went a 7.68. That next friday race, first hit we got after it on the hit and spun, next pass it went into the 50s.

We had issues with our inital setup with many things, water pump for the intercooler, tune up, chassis setup ect just to name a couple. Honestly I can say that with zero experience in "outlaw drag radial", we went from 8.2 to 7.5 in our first 8 passes. This was also shaking down a BRAND NEW car that had never been down the track before.

No dout you're way ahead of the learning curve Phil. You put a serious car together and haven't even touched on what it's probably capable of, and are already up to speed, great position to be in for the goals you have set.

I look foreward to reading the results threads soon

One of my goals is to see this car at the track. The other is to put a Midwest 9" in my car and some sticky tires and run the 11.50 class.

You can get a DOD aftermarket cam for it. Supposedly you can pickup 51 HP while keeping DOD. Or get a tune to turn off the DOD and run a larger non-DOD compliant cam.

I haven't reached a verdict if I want to keep DOD or not yet....
