Rant!!!!! So went to the bar last night, paid for parking, figured my car would be cool till like 8am so i got wasted, got a DD to come get me...they towed the ****** g8 at 430am...that's awesome karma for someone who does the responsible thing...bitched my ****** ***** off to the tow company about how unethical it was and they ended up cutting my bill in about half...**** towing companies ****** scum bags.

I can hear ya on the Rant.... Got my car towed from Boston College a year ago when visiting the girlfriend. I was much more worried about damage to the car from towing than the $150 to get it back. How the hell do they get such a low car with such a long nose onto the back of a truck? Do I even want to know? My girl couldnt understand why I was crawling underneath it in the tow lott. Once I was satisfied I left them two nice strips of rubber out the driveway. They were not pleased, but I felt better afterwards.
EDIT: For how long did you think it got stolen before you convinced yourself it was towed? Because I was freaking out until Campus Police came.

I would blame whoevers lot you parked in because they are the ones who contract with the towing companies to tow everything that is left overnight. It sucks but they are just doing their job. Honestly the bar should have a lot that allows overnight parking.

i was tucked up in the first spot maybe 10 feet from the door, the lot is like 50x25 spots or bigger (gotta leave the names out of it cause i claimed damage to my rear bumper so they'd cut the towing bill down). where i was parked there was no posted signs, but like 10 spots to the left of me the signs started with no overnight, figured since i tipped the lot attendant, and there was no sign on the area i was parked it woulda been fine till morning. i knew what happened right away, onstar woulda called me if the car was broken into/stolen. Guess it coulda been worse but whatever...still sucked.
That sucks, man. At least you got the bill cut in half. I always hate those parking situations where signs are up in some spots but you're not sure exactly where it applies to because there are different sections.
