Default Tracks and amount of runs

I go to Etown in Jersey and the most I have ever gotten was five runs (only happened once on a Wednesday). The place is always packed and you have to wait forever in the staging lanes. It makes me not want to go as I usually only get 3 runs. Its BS I have to drive all the way out there for 3 runs? Is there any track in the NJ area or like an hour and a half from NYC where you can get a good amount of runs? I'm trying to go to the track alot more this year but only if its worthwhile.

Hopefully I can join some of you guys during a track rental this coming season. That way I can run the car a bunch.

if you make it to Atco when they open the gates you can pretty much hot lap it for about an hour or so untill it gets packed. but if you make it there after 6 you'll be in the same boat...2-4 runs at most, especially on thurs and fri nites.
then there's Island dragway but ive never been there for T and T so i can tell ya what its like but its closer to NY than Atco is.

go to a rental man...that's the way to get your money worth...

50$ for 3-5 runs at a TnT
or
~200$ or cheaper for as many runs as it takes you to get sick of driving...aka almost infinite runs.

Try Island Dragway. Smaller facility, not as packed, and they keep the lanes moving as good as anyplace I have ever been.

Breakdowns are a fact of life at any track, but they are less likely to happen at tracks that do a proper tech inspection.

Island isn't a bad place, lebannon valley isn't bad either you go on a saturday pay our 35 bucks and you can get probably 5 to 8 runs in if you get right into the lanes in the AM and stay until they're done.

They just surfaced the whole track for this season too, should be nice.

If you head up to Numidia Dragway you can easily get 8-10 runs in on a Saturday T~n~T, if you really pushed I bet over 15 runs. I've been there (work in the tower) and a few street cars just kept hot lapping, they had to make 25 laps that day. At one point they left to go get gas! They don't get allot of cars, and if they do ( say 40-50 cars ) a good portion is SuperPro guys testing, they only make a few passes. The owner (Bob Dimino) is easy going and has allow the guys to grudge races, Protree, run dial-ins and even set up Gambler races.

Sunday they do allow T~n~T but only between rounds of the point races, so you never know how many runs you'll get or when, you could get 5-7, but you might get less if there iare oil down and such that delay the rounds?

Actually the motorcity forums/Street Leathal crew are currently talking about do some type of track day there probably May or June.

One friday night at Cecil about 3 years agao I made 12 passes. This fall at BSD I made 11 or 12 on a saturday. And I have gone to several fridays and Saturdays at Cecil where I made 3-6 passes and get ther late and left early.

My worst experience was at maple grove where I made 1 pass in 4 hours.

I have had most of my luck at Island Dragway. I have been there quite a few times, at the end of last season (2007) I did have to wait a while, but this past summer it was great. I honestly got ATLEAST 12 runs in, could of got more but I took breaks to get some food, watch some others race, etc.

Maple Grove is horrible...you can be their all day and only get 3-4 runs.
