just checking that out this afternoon. hoping it all works out. having raceday in morning and FLD at afternoon kinda scares me though. hopefully not too much confusion going on

bunch of guys get together and organize some racing just like the old days. go when the light goes out (or comes on in some cases). they run at 4 differant air ports in the western portion of Penn. basically they are street racing on airport grounds but up untill recently had been perfectly legal. now some schmuck that works for the state wants it stopped even though the Airport owners appearently have no issue with it at all. its a good time though...just picture Fast and the Furious 1 when they're running on the old abandoned air port...same concept.

it was good time. it was in car craft magazine a few years ago. they had good turnouts for the events.

Take $5 donations toward feeding diseased paraplegic orphans or something, then watch any politician try to shut it down (until somebody pokes their eye out).

Something like that would be nice around here, but I don't see it happening. Best of luck to you guys though, seems the politicians don't like us very much.

Always had a good time there, Ebensburg, never saw more than a couple planes a week use this small airport. Had over 2 thousand people there for the drags.

too far for me too,,,talked to a friend who is on the board at ebensburg thinks they may be able to get 1 event at each airport,,, better than none i guess

i'm hoping they continue having these. i went to almost everyone they had in Ebensburg. i actually won the street contender class at the last race there. not too bad for being "stock"! lol

well i talked to the guy who runs it last night and he said this is temp he hopes. they are really pushing to get the races going at the airports again. we went to steel valley last year and it was a trip haha. i hope the crazy guy who has his mobile home basically on the staging lanes joins in lol.

Not 2,000 racers,,,,usually 125-175 racers,,,lot of people there just to watch.
