Power Window Issue.
I figure post it here and see if anyone else can give an opinion, this has been posted in Gen. Matenice.
I did some searching and I think I know the answer, I would just like some opinions and exp.
I've had a 94 LT1 car with over 120k and never had to change the motor, the damn window switch broke before that ever happend.
So anyways, my car is a 2002. It has 43k on the clock and I was driving with my wife and all of a sudden her window (passanger) stops working all the way down.
I was suprised at this, it is a little slower, then the driver which I am aware that happens. At one time they were nearly as fast and last summer I noticed it was quite as fast.
We pull over and I open the passanger door, hers and mine are not moving it up (it was completely down at that point), I shut the door, open, nothing. Then with the door open I snap the inside door handle and it works. The window goes up. Now the radio has some interference when I am using the window.
I get home, and went to close it the last 1 to 2" and again stop dead cold.
Is this a wiring issue, like a short, or is the motor that shot. I have seen some windows be SO SLOW, its like painful to watch. If I went from completely down to completely up with both window, when the driver was done there would be a good 6 inches left to go. To give a comparision.
Thanks for any opinions!

If you are ambitious enough you can take apart the old motor, clean and lubricate it and possibly save it. I found a thread once showing how to do it, didn't look that hard. Another possibility is that the thermal resistor inside the motor is shot.

Short of drilling 2 holes and using some sort of screw and a brace inside... I cant get the gap on the crack to close back up and stay put
