1996 and up: OBDII scan for codes and a visual.
With no cats, I doubt you'll pass.

Depends where you go, Some look, some dont, IF you fail, then they start looking

If you pass scanner there should be no reason for a visual...Ive known a couple people to pass with NO cats.

Just go, if you fail you can go do a retest in 30 days just put something on the looks like a cat. Either way you're going to have to do something (think you will fail and put one on, or fail and put one on) Might as well wait and see what happens, if they ask you something just say you bought it like that and didn't know you didn't have one.

I also think you should go to a place with less to prove (one of the smaller shittier places) I wouldn't go to any type of dealer test facility that might go that extra step so they don't get in trouble.

they just hookup the odb2 and if theres no codes you pass.

some do look under the car, if they question you say you have them and stick to it. lol

best bet is go to a busy midas were some young kid is working for cheap labor, they normaly do it qwk and dont look under the car..

I can see this post is a year old but has anyone had any luck around the branford/north branford area. I have race headers and everything tuned out with an ORY. I am just worried about the cat check lol. Thanks

you will most likely need to put cats on for the visual unless you find a place that will not look but it is a 50/50 chance and usually bites me in the ***

Some company sells hollow pipe shaped like a cat in various sizes, I've seen the link on here before.
