Same exact thing happened to me! I mean identical! I originally thought I broke the transmission. I could still move 10-15mph in first gear but anything higher than that it just revved up. Sounds like your clutch sir.

I'm not totally convinced of the trans output shaft yet. How the heck can I shift the trans mission revving the car NOT USING THE CLUTCH AT ALL???? There should still be some binding of the transmission going from gear to gear with the tranny spinning at different RPM's not using the clutch?

Mean94LT1 this happened on Saturday. I was in the lovely silver Ford FUCUS! But it started raining so we turned around on our way to sonic.

Either you ripped the splines of your input shaft and/or hub in the clutch or the clutch itself explored, thats the only things that will make your car run like this, as much as you'd hate to, pull her out.

Pull the clutch inspection cover and take a look in there first. Either way at this point it doesnt matter the entire driveline except the motor has to come out.

Ugh, sorry to hear it Bruce. All that power combined with a manual is pretty rough on the late model Corvette platform/driveline.
I know this is blasphemy LOL but maybe put an automatic in, the car will go quicker and break less as well.

Nah I don't think it can be the flux capacitor, it would at least catch a little in 1st and 2nd gear if it was that. Unless of course it's an Auto Zone flux capacitor which is almost the same one that Walmart sells, it's decent but when it lets go it takes out the U-joints as well.

OK Ladies the verdict is in.
Took apart everything minus the clutch last nite by myself and then Reido came over to get the driveline lowered and that sucked.
BROKEN TRANSMISSION MAIN SHAFT! Damnit Blu and Kurtomac are on top of their game folks LOL! I really freaked myself out, when I would turn the torque tube shaft the rear spun. I was like OMG its either the clutch or nothing wrong with the car and I took it all apart!!! But when I got the diff and trans apart that was my present So there it is folks.

Bruce....Gforce Trans in Annville has mainshafts, also upgraded ones that are stout if you want to spend more $$$.

I'd take your trans up there and have them look over it. Beats shipping it anywhere and they know their ****.

Ugh... not a pretty sight. And holy hell... I thought a T56 in an Fbod was heavy. Add on a rear diff to it, and bulge some veins in the forehead! lmao!

That rear should have not come apart like that. Hey if you need it I got some of that crazy glue overhere? And if not comfy with that there is always the JB Weld available.
