Camaro LIVES!
GM has seen it sales slide more than 40 percent this year, but the Chevy Camaro is flying off dealer lots. In fact, demand is so high that most dealers say they won’t see another Camaro for several months. Those that still have the new-age pony car in stock are routinely taking $500 over MSRP.
GM sold 5,463 Camaro last month.
Although the market is now full of rear-wheel drive coupe choices – including the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger – the Camaro seems to be hitting the sweet spot of the segment. Those that want relative fuel economy and sporty driving characteristics can opt for the 29 mpg Camaro V6 while those craving an all-out performance machine can order the V8-powered Camaro SS. The Camaro is also featured in this summer’s “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, which can only help sales.

These are the people you should thank for bringing the Camaro back to life!
They were in Carlisle PA showing off the Camaro (which was easy to do)
They answered all questions from the crowd....which brings me to the Z28.
I don't want this thread to be a boring talk again and again about the Z28 speculation.
There is no doubt that there will be a Z28
It will have the Z28 hood (like bumblebee 2)
It will have a different grill which will include the chevy bowtie somewhere (top executive decision making here)
It will probably have a different rear spoiler
It will have Z28 emblems and/or graphics
It will have a high output engine LS ? something (as long as it meets government standards for fuel economy)
They want you to enjoy the NEW Camaro, the way it is offered now, for the next couple years
Then, the convertible will be out in the spring of 2011
Then, the Z28 will probably come out a year later
I guess there will be a 50th anniversary Z28. And I'll be just in time for it since my 2006 GTO gets paid off in 2011. But, then again, I can buy my Mom's low-mileage 2007 Atomic Orange Z06 for a much cheaper price in 2013 (when her lease on it is up).
