Default Congrats Matt

His Red Truck finally hit the track with some tires on it.The tune was the same as he's been driving around on with 12lbs of boost.

Best of the day was a 1.71 60', 10.6 at 130mph.

Of course his next run hooked like a bastard with a nasty 1.200 60' and then the converter/tranny wouldn't have any of it so the rev limiter worked pretty good. Next pass was a 11.0 at xxx holding 1/2 throttle down the track.

Over the winter we'll do a tranny refresh,new converter and some more tranny coolers. Maybe push the boost up to 16lbs or so too.

Wow that truck is moving! that turbo is barely efficient at that boost! Damn when the tranny is allset that truck will boogie like a ****

whoa whoa whoa hold on a min. 10.6 with a 1.71 60ft, then u cut a 1.20 60ft!???!!! once u get that tranny and converter figured out LOOOKKKK OUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT EVERYONEEE! thing is nasty!

I haven't got an Apple pie in a long time

The tranny is a 4L80 that was built for the 4.8L years ago.We will pull it and get refreshed.The converter is flashing too high already and I think we killed the lockup in it.So it will get a stronger converter,a better tranny cooler(or 2) with fans on them.Then next spring come out with DMC to do the final 4 link setup.

O-ya,might put in some adjustable front shocks and possibly pull the front sway bar if needed.

congrats, bout time you went to the track.

no offence however but that 60' seems to be a mistake. there are turbo cars kissing the 7 second mark running low 1.2x there are nitrous cars running low 8's and running 1.2x to 1.3x

with a 1.200 60' you would have to have about another 1,000 hp in a heavy truck. sounds like maybe a computer glitch.

either way congrats, crank that thing up and see what shes got

I was thinking the same but it shot out hard,then the tranny got screwed.So it could of easilly unloaded the tranny somehow to do that.I would never expect it to hit a 1.2 ever again.We're expecting 1.5's.

yea, hard to say, but a 1.20 60 is 6 second car stuff. if someone said it was possable id have to see proof. im not saying you guys are making it up, but ive run 1.1 or 1.2 60' times befor and i know it was a glitch, smoke across the beam, leaf blows by something. i got a 1.23 60' once and figure it was a glitch and my car has gone a best of 1.27 and has gon 1.29-1.32 hundres of times.

I'll never say it definitely did it but the truck did take off like a raped ape compared to the 1.71 60' run.Then the tranny/converter **** a bit.So,take the 700ft/lbs the turbo does on full spool(800ft/lbs if it spiked to 15lbs),the converter multiplying the torque(maybe more due to issue's)and a almost dead hook.It could be possible. I'll be happy when it goes consistant 1.5 60's.

All in all we will be very happy IF we hit a 9.9 as the engine/boost/tune sit's next year.

Brad, you want proof??? I will send you my stained boxers and then you can see the proof yourself No but it left harder than I knew what to do with. I smacked my helmet off of the rear glass and then the tires let go. It probibly wasnt a 1.2 but it was hard as hell
