I grew up in Borough Park, right where Church Ave starts. I lived in Bensonhurst for a little while, 63rd and 18th.

They are really missing Spagnola, I can't see the current def coord. being back next season, if he's allowed to finish this season. Players are just out of position, confused, it's horrible. I'm not taking anything away from the Eagles win sunday but the Giants haven't really been playing Giants football the whole year. Brandon Jacobs has only really started to run hard again the last 2 weeks and that hasn't helped manage the game because they have been behind so bad for 3 weeks now. Giants aren't just losing, they aren't even in these games, by the 1/2 it's OVER.
Eli is playing bad, I think mostly because the defense is so poor, Eli can't afford to be "smart" with the football, he's gotta take chances to try and put points up. He's forced to. Then the turnovers come, defense, which already is horrible, is forced to be out there more which makes the pass rush not as effective because these guys are winded, it's just a cycle that unless they get that secondary sorted out isn't gonna stop anytime soon.
Giants really suck right now.BAD.
Enjoy it for now Philly.

Au contraire...we Eagle fans would argue that the Giants are playing just fine Giants football right now.

i think...much like the Eagles....the Giants had a pretty "easy" schedule to start the year and jumped out to a 5-0 start. now the last 3 weeks they've run into some pretty good contenders and are showing their true colors.
dont get me wrong, im not completely sold on my Eagles being as dominant as they showed on sunday...the heart of our schedule is upon us and we'll see just how good/bad they really are. allways nice beating up on the divisional foes though...makes for a good day on sunday.

Good series by the Yankees, even better by Matsui. At least the Yankees fans stayed for the entire game this time :losers:

It was a damn good, entertaining series. It was nice to see the two best teams in the league battle it out.

I agree with you rick...this sunday, then at san diego, at chicago, atlanta two weeks after that. 4 of 5 would be nice during that stretch.

No excuses, the team that played better won. The Yankees executed, and the Phillies did not.

the yanks big guns (except Tex) all contributed.

Congrats to them.

It still was pitiful that there were empty seats in the 7th inning of game 1 though. Fans of the Fightins' would never do that. Even the corporate ones.

i can't help but laugh when people complain about how much money the Yankees have to burn. i guess if your team had the financial backing you wouldn't be biching about it. not to mention that most of the their wins were before the Steinbrenners owned team and probably one of the most known sports name franchises around the world

I wouldnt be bitching, i just really wouldnt care about them. I would feel HALF the emotion if my team went out and bought the best players. For instance, last year compared to this year as far as the AL goes. You have the 202 million dollar yankees against the what 50 million dollar ray? or didnt A rod get paid more than their whole team??? Id be a tampa fan over the yankees any day of the week.

I agree with you, the yankees are the most historic team in any sport, they've had more baseball hereos than i can count. I even count jeter up there with all the greats, micky, yogi, babe, dimaggio, all of them.

I'll rephrase my comments, ill say i hate the no salary cap in baseball. image how competitive a 100,000,000 dollar cap would be make the league.
