I just drove 100 miles from western mass to boston.

I stop at my grandparents on the way home. I pull out of the driveway and am doing about 35 mph...road is a 40... i was still accelerating. A lady pulls out in front of me (kinda cuts me off but nothing to lose sleep over). My phone beeps from a text and I look down to see its my sister. Upon looking up I realize the lady is at a dead stop waiting to take an extremely awkward left turn. I slam the brakes, they lock up, I slide about 45 feet on wet pavement with tires squealin until i hit her and boom there go the airbags. She needs a new bumper/muffler but is ok(not a scratch/bruise anywhere, just annoyed). I am fine but in order to fix the car I would need bumper, both fenders, hood, blinker lenses, all four headlights, the buckets for them, radiator, both fogs...etc etc...and the frame is bent in the front. Sorry for the rant but i JUST painted that car as some of u may know and the fiberglass cowl hood wasnt cheap either ..../rant.

i had that car for 3 years and had the worst luck of all time with it... 2 accidents(never for speed) and 6 breakdowns. Have had my RS 6 years...2 breakdowns and no accidents wtffff

Your insurance wont total it, I had an accident in a mint 2002 Z28 with less than 25,000 miles about a year and a half ago. The repair bill wasnt as much as the car and they still wouldnt.

At least it's only a LT1 ;-)

Well, if simply reading a name can be that distracting... thank God you didn't actually read the text. I'm not trying to be a dick (really), but there's a reason people shouldn't mess with phones when they're driving. Unfortunately for you, you provided the perfect example why. I'm glad no one was hurt and hope some lessons were learned.

If it's the Z28 in his sig it's absolutely toast. There isn't a chance in hell that car is a fixer unless it has an agreed value of like $12K+
