that show gives real nj people a bad rap. and yes i am italian american and i have never acted that way, at least i dont remember if i did. and we dont call it down at the shore only pa or ny people call it that.

Grab the Kleenex lol. It's not racism, it's not discrimination, I'd be aggravated too if I lived down there and toolbags like that invaded my town every summer. BTW, the term "benny" has nothing to do with race, sex, etc. It's reserved for out-of-towner's that flock to the beaches in the summer....technically I'm one of them now that I live in PA...not quite sure why there's some much anger of a silly little word. 
That show is like a train wreck, you don't want to look but you can't help it.
Luckily I go to nicer beaches in South Jersey where scumbags like that don't go. Not every Italian is like that nor is every NJ beach like that....yay for MTV promoting bad stereotypes.
