new strange axles arrived

The pocket milling looks awesome

the pair (including wheel studs and bearings) are 6lbs lighter than the old mosers. So, in all, I took about 14 lbs off the rear

40 Spline Gun Drilled?

I just got a set of Mosers with the star flange, dropped 4lbs/ea from 33 spline.

threw in an aluminum center with all the light goodies, lost another 11lbs.

got a little bit done this morning...

disassembled the 3rd member and cleaned everything in my parts washer. Then I reassembled everything with 3.40 PRO gears (had 3.70 PRO gears in before). That 3rd member holding fixture is something I bought a few years ago and its really PIMP for this stuff

for the record...ARP bolts suck for 9" fords...they made the shoulder too long for the spool and it wouldn't seat the ring gear all the way before bottoming out on the shoulder...had to resort to grade 8 bolts

and thats not blood in the 3rd picture...thats redline shockproof gear oil
