I got mine out on Sunday, a beautiful day I might add. I have not taken pics of the car in ages. It is due for a photoshoot

I need to install my R series QA1's in the Front and Tighten up the Drag Bar in back, Sounds like a but cam loose. We will see.

All my Micro Fiber's have been cleaned and looking for a clear day for a hand wash and wax.

Yesterday I did discover a issue with the switch for the HVAC system.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...fan-issue.html

Aside from that and a set of drag rims, she is ready to lay down a time slip

Racing on that level does have inherent cost and even for most, cannot be sustained long term. ****, if I broke a transmission either I'd be out for the season or going to the "Bank of David" (my father in law) and at this time I think I am kinda tapped out.

i still have all the 8 second parts, just dont feel like spending the coin for heads rods and all the other crap. with the way work is i just cant do it and feel right about myself, but at the same time it would be fun as hell to toss a junk motor together, put it in the car for the few times i will take it down the track and if it runs good, it runs good. the record will be cool, but not sure it will happen with a compleat stock cam only car with a little spray, but we shall see.

Made my deal, i will have the motor in my possestion and start tinkering with it on sunday night when i get home from sledding.
i will first clean the **** out of it, then strip eveything i dont need off of it, then put the heads and take the heads apart.

im going to try to go today to grab some new bits so i can port the heads out a bit,

if i can get the heads done next week, i would guess i will have it up and running in the next 2 weeks depending on parts.
this should be fun, junk yard build!!!!!

9.32, i dont think i will run that fast, between stock pistions, limit of the size cam i can run, and only having the plate kit so i will only spray 200-250 probably. we shall see what happens tho. this meens i have to dig out my trailor as well and get my 72 running. maybe if the motor is in one piece when im done i will toss it in my 72. hhmmmm

That would be your best bet if you don't burn it down in the process. Oh second though I know you, you will burn it down before the end of the season......
