I reallyh feel like the eagles just filled the void with wat theh could get, good or bad. Theyh should have spend the money this year and got a offer out to at least chester taylor and/or julius peppers....just my opinion
this happens all the time...but the way you're putting it is making it seem like "well, NO didnt match the offer which means he's not good enough to bring back". that couldnt be further from the truth. there could be a number of reasons not to bring him back.
1) they allready have too many backs there and dont need to spend that kind of money to bring back a another.
2) they just simply cant afford it...it would put them over teh salary cap.
just a few examples....
Bell has allways been a good runner but he's been on teams with 2 or 3 other good running backs so his time was limited.. ie. Denver Broncos. we saw this year when he was starting that when he's the guy, he can get the job done. im not completely sold on him yet but he's definetly an improvement over Westbrook at this stage in his career.

we will have to see. I just have the philly mentality. Besides TO i cant remember a guy we got that was jjust as good as advertised. Seems like any plahyer going to philly, and not just the eagles, choke. I.E....the flyers and Danny Briere. I like him as a player but he was brought in to be a competing no. 1 center and hasnt lived up to a second line center and for that money he should be no. 1.

Tug Mcgraw in the late 70's....Steve Carlton in the mid 70's...both very good players that we traded for.
