hey guys my names mike i live in florida. ill be up in connecticut around the end of july. i was hoping to see if anyone lived in the waterburry/ wolcott area. ill be there for my cousins wedding and wanna meet some of the ls1tech guys there anyone available

 

you should take a ride to the berlin turnpike lot of cars up there on weekend nights

 

I used to live in Wolcott, very firmilar with the Area, and like Cheffer said, we would head up to the Pike. Saturday Night would be the night to do it. If Jmar was still doing illegal races I am sure you can catch something down that ways But I have not been down there in years.

 

As Chef said, definitely head up to the pike on Saturday night (Friday night, as well, if you've got it free). On Saturday night, there's a "Mopar" show at Burger King but pretty much any make and model shows up there. Lots of car shows on the weekends if the weather's nice and there are always TONS of cars up and down the pike as long as it's dry and warm. On a good Friday or Saturday night, you might see a couple hundred cars up there cruisin around.

 

i live about 20mins from waterbury... and like evryone else is saying... go to the berlin turnpike on a friday or saturday and you will love all the cars you see up there... just dont get caught street racing! they love to race at every stop light, and there are cops everywhere! especially undercover cop cars!!
cars (mostly imports) like to hang out at the wendys parking lot in waterbury, and some of these ricers will race for cash.. just watch out for the evo thats all riced out, that one is quick!

 

I didnt realize the Berlin Turnpike was still that busy on weekends.
How are the police. Do they hassle you like they did in the past??

Last time i was there was about 10 years ago too. Right when it started getting bad. Thats why I stopped going up there.

im from oxford/southbury area... about 20mins from waterbury.... i was up on the pike one night in my s10, and i have euro tail-lights, and the cops pulled me over and gave me a ticket for have "white tail-lights" but my tail-lights arnt white, just the bottom part of the lamp is white, and when the yellow bulb illuminates the white part of the lamp, it looks like i have white bulbs... so they break your ***** about anything up there! i went 2 or 3 weekends ago, and that was the first time in like a year that i have been up there...
but it is exciting seeing some cool cars up there!
last time i was at the pike i was at the burger king car show... and some young kid came up to me wanting to know who had the procharged TA and i said it was me, and he asked me how many lbs of boost i was running, and like a dumbass, i told him the truth and said 13... then he said "whats that like 380 to 400hp to the wheels?" and i said ya, LMAO! (he said ya, my car is putting out like 380 to 400hp... it will be a good run) he had a 95 mustang with a few bolt-ons and wanted to race! lol... woulda been a waste of time!!! later on the night the kid barely beat a 99 buick regal gs... so he wasnt trying to hustle me, his car just was really that slow!!!

 

So I would guess there isnt much racing going on anymore??

 

No, theres still alot of racing... its just easier to get caught now...

 

woodbury here, about 15 min from waterbury. Like everyone said the pike is a good spot, i remember when you could race at every light no problem now you cant take a crap without expecting a ticket. I heard NXPRSS is going to get shut down!

Well on saturday nights there is a car show at the burger king on the berlin turnpike... and thats about 30mins from waterbury... alot of guys from tech meet up there.... but im sure that wedding you have to go to is on a saturday huh?? Anyways, a friend of mine usally gets a cruise going on sunday afternoons... Usually about 6-10 cars go on the cruise and there is a nasty supra in the crowd of cars...

 

nice yeah i think the wedding is actually friday lol hopefully i can bring the ss up there and meet some of u guys
