I get to do some damage now.....
I got my buffer finally!!
I just got her yesterday, already have the 7" Velcro Backing plate on and I elected to use the Hoop Handle. But if I want it does have the regular single handle bar.
At this point I need to get a junkyard piece to work on and practice. If anyone wants to chime in on Pad and Chemical Recommondations, feel free too.
I am thinking of a good combo that always delievers great results would be Meguiar's M105 and followed up with M205. I have the chart from them on the pad/speed recommondation.
Let me know what you think!
Happy 30th Birthday to Me!

You should try to find a car or a panel on a car that no one cares about and purposely burn the paint all day. Use different pads, different products and different speeds. After you spend a hour or so going through the clear coat you'll be alot more comfortable using the machine.
You'll be surprised in some cases on how hard it is to burn through the paint and other cases where it's really easy. It'll speed up your details and let you use the right pad/product combo instead of wasting time worrying.
Not to mention it's always fun to be a little destructive every so often...

^ Yea. I was thinking the other day. What in the world do I need to that hood for. All it has done is collect dust in the garage for the 2 years it has been off the car. Might as well use it for something.

Buy yourself Menzerna polishes. You will be very happy that you did. Skip the Adams, Chemical guys, etc. All you really need is some Menzerna, Meg's and 3M. That should cover every type of paint that you come in contact with.

Just work slow and let the buffer to the work and practicing on those hoods will help. I like my makita but if you do not take the right steps or do it too fast whatever you are working on will be a giant hologram.

Nice Product Cabinet. I'll let you know if I need it.
I was just speaking with some Mods over @ Autogeek and they are big on Lake Country which I was following for a while. So I will be gettin their 6 pack (2 orange, 2 White, 1 Grey, 1 Red) Also some Wool Pads which I have 2 different ones.
Next will be some Chemicals which I have a good idea on M105/M205 and M80/M83 will be a good start.
