Atco Tech?
Atco Tech? What is the tech like at Atco...here we have a few nhra tracks that are pretty legal and buy the book like rt 66 but we also have some laid back tracks that make sure you have all 4 tires and you are good to go...ha 
Planning on making the trip over if track tech is light...I will be shooting for 9s n/a 346...I have no cage, no window net, no transblanket/dyper...
any heads up will be great I plan on calling too...also are there certain events that are looser on tech...thanks

honestly i hope they dont let you race, a car that fast has NO BUSINESS being on the track it is just plane unsafe and if you get in a wreck the track could get closed and YOU would be the cause of it...
but they are very easy on tech on rental days, but i know they have been cracking down lately on regular race days

looks like track rental it is...
there will be a cage soon but after I run a number...
think of it this way is it fair to only make faster cars have the safety equipment...
so if I still ran 13s I would be safe...what about when I get t-boned by a 8 sec car...so he has the safety cage but I dont need one...
So someone who can drive a 100% stock zo6's should not bring it to the track...cause it is capable of 10s...
what about bikes...what safety cage is there around someone doing 150+mph through the trap...and he will pass tech fine with leathers and a helmet...but I guess he is safer doing 150+mph on a busa vs my car doing 130mph
again the car will get a cage just not yet...thanks

Chris, Atco's tech is fair but not tough, they will boot you quickly if you go on a street night or weekend tnt. As far as track rentals they don't tech you just fill out the card and they trust that the 10 or 15 guys who you rent the track with are safe and orderly. As far as running the times you are running without a cage for now would make it a little scary if that was me. You will be running solo at a rental mostly so it's you and the track, a little safer with no one else on the other side.
You seem like a smart racer that knows he needs a cage so it is your call. I know there are guys who run at rentals that are in the same boat as you it's just that the rules are there for our safety. Let me know when you come down to take advantage of our magic air here, I would love to see your car run since I have followed your threads over the years.

Ok that sounds good...do you know when the next rental is or who is having it so I could possibly join or get in contact with them...thanks guys

You can also call atco and see if they have rentals that are scheduled but not full. I'm looking to get in on one in late october/early november so I'll keep ya posted if I find out info on one.
