The police SUV was not supposed to be there and the wreck itself was not scripted.
I guess it's better that car got hit than the Stingray behind the green response vehicle.

Well the way the article reads the cop drove into what was supposed to be a closed street for filming.

Yup, the driver was just following the route he was supposed to follow for the film. It's not his job to be on the lookout for unauthorized vehicles that were left through the perimeter.

I'm sure they had a few backup cars, but that still sucks.

haha and if you watch the video the cop never slowed down to make sure the intersection was clear for the RED traffic light before running the light

Report say the officer was reponding to a "suspicous package" and was using different radio channel. IMO though cops know when there is filming for a movie, should have been checking for more info.

I dunno, seems scripted, too coincidental to me. The SUV though did take the hit and seem to come out numbers better then the Camaro.

I bet though it would be written in the script, why not, they did with Lebouf's hand last time around.

Police SUV has no marking for the city it is working for . I think it is scripted .

None of DC's police cars have the name of the city on the side. I'm not too sure why they would want to script that. But who's to say they won't make it part of the script if it's not scripted. It would be a way for them to put Bumblebee on the shelf and out of the picture for a little while or for Sam to get injured, and adding a somewhat dramatic scene.

Did the airbags go off in that SUV? Looked like it, but I'm not 100%

Dissapointing! But, when the Bumblebee eventually crosses the Barrett-Jackson auction-block ... it will have additional film provenance! :-)
