One would think that people learn from mistakes and with ECS taking him in, he should be able to provide value to the organization.

Last time that car was at Etown Rick and I were there also. Matt wheelied the car (no wheelie bars, no limiters etc.) he pedaled it and got away with car not hitting too bad. Than he comes around for ANOTHER PASS!!!!!!!! That was it, car came down HARD, fucked it up!!never ran it again. Kerminator got Terminated by Matts right foot.

As long as they don't let Matt race the shop car I'm sure it'll be a good marriage.

I am not sure why people are bagging on Matt for his racing car mishap, if you spend time at the track you see this happen almost every weekend, monster wheelies unexpected and experienced and non experienced drivers can both have alot of damage...
and he DID have the car repaired at the urgings of the ls1tech members due to the car's popularity. it did go through some changes of set ups and to my knowlege never made it back out to the track...
Matt good luck in the future, good to see Matt was able to find a job in the business still...

C'mon chef.
I do agree that we all wish him and ECS best of luck, glad Matt found a home.

In the Vette world ECS stands for East Coast supercharging, the guys that won the LSX shootout last year.
At least for me anyway.
They have one hell of an experienced crew there to say the least.

That's too bad. I remember TTP way back in the day when George was doing installs in Matt's driveway out on Long Island.
I didn't use TTP a lot but I did buy my AFR's and a few other parts from them when he had some deals, always struck me as a good guy in my dealings and for most part didn't hear many negatives about them. Kind of stinks because I was probably going to default to them for tuning since Eastside got out of the game.

I never should have sold that car. My wife at the time told me it would be a bad mistake to do and she was right .. Would it be something if I bought the car back and had Matt redo the whole thing .

Pete!! Sooooooo funny you mention this. I recently said F it, I'm selling the whole damn car. Sold the motor, than I was gonna part the car out. Guy was intersted in the roller etc. My "WIFE" if you can believe this, was giving me sooooooo much crap about it. Don't sell the car, you love the car, it's your car, your making a mistake etc etc.
So I'm keeping the car and putting a carbuerated BBC in it, lol
Cartek gonna do the fogger. Gonna run 8.50 index and drive to track and back.
Mind you, I was selling the car.
PETE, BUY THE CAR BACK!!!!!!!!!

Matts tuning is excellent. I have used ECS for my Vette once and they are good guys. It must suck to own your own business and then go work for someone else even though i hear these stories all the time at work
