QTP GM EFI Race Make UP Date This Sat 11/13
#101
11.50 - Allow deep staging.
10.50 - Allow deep staging.
8.50 or 8.90 or 9.0 - No Deep staging allowed.
(The ET decision should be made by the current Quick Time-8 racers that have supported the class for years, not somebody that "might race it if you do this or that")

I like the 8.90 index idea, aside from the NHRA association with that number, as Edgar stated I also like the fact that it has an '8' in it, just sounds faster than 9.0.
Open to all GM EFI as it is now and no deep staging needed.
As for the QTP EFI 11.50? I don't know if Barry and/or Raceway Park really need to go through the various hassles of keeping that one going, it had so little participation in 2010 (even then it was mostly Corvettes who have their own Pro 11.50 anyway) and I just don't see it getting any better in 2011.
QTP EFI brackets and Quick Time Pro 8.90 (aka: QTP 8.90 index) is where it's at.

Deep staging is gay.
But I couldn't care less if it was allowed or not.
4D, let the people who want Barry to kiss their asses speak up for themselves.
I'm sure you couldn't give 2 ***** about deep staging youself.

OK, lets say it will be 9.00 index. Lets discuss the rules.
I'm thinking
GM EFI Motor
GM Body only???? (do you want to race against Fox body cars)
Any power addder
4.00 Pro tree w/ 7 sec auto start
Deep Staging??? (Remember auto start will be on)
Any GM style Transmission
Trans Brake & 2 step Allowed
Muffers required
Full Interior, carpet, ect.
Any tire??? Maybe 30/13.5 max??
No tube or sq. frame cars
No four link cars???
Weight limit??? (like 3,000lb min.)?
Barry races by himself (saftey reasons)
All run field
Pro or Sportsman Ladder???
Lesser breakout advances
Min qualifying ET 9.99???
.

round wins...runnerup up two maybe 3 times over the history of the series.
Food for thought...here are your entrants for 2010 and their average qualifying times
What I am trying to point out it is 9.99 to get in, while it sounds nice, leaves out half your base. It also puts you all at risk for not qualifying if you don't get off one of two passes cleanly. From experience, it is not fun when you have to tell a driver that went 10.01 and 10.09 that he cannot participate in a class that is all run or has less than the max number for the field.
Average of 1/4 mi time

Jay McCardle 8.18
Charles Weslowski 8.79
Frank J Beck 9.22
Alfred 'Sonnie' Pongonis 9.66
Shawn Cavanagh 9.79 This one should not have counted due to equipment
Barry Adler 9.97
Edgar Perez 10.46
Stephen Wells 10.53
Gary Deak 10.95
Pat McGrath 11.08
Melissa Florello 11.12

People are just making suggestions and sharing thoughts. "IF" it ever becomes an index class, I personally wouldn't want to see a minumum qualifying time to get in either.

I think my carb should be allowed due to the grandfather clause.
Since the field has been limited I don't think a there should be a qualifying ET, just the quickest 8 cars.
"IF" and "WHEN" the field gets crowded the qualifying would be appropiate.

You can have the "grandfather" clause if you have already raced in the class with the carb..deal?
