Don't torture yourself. Making plans without an engine built and in your car will only lead to disappointments.

You're going with a top shelf engine now. It is a long painful process for various reasons when going this route. I've been living it for 13 months and counting...

Why don't you dedicate yourself to getting a piece of *** while you're waiting for these dates to come out.
If my life revolved around waiting for Etown to post race dates I think I would just kill myself, haha

I know what you mean.. I have almost everything or it is on order. Right now we are waiting on the crank.. They said 10 to 12 weeks and it has been 12 weeks already.. The build should move at a nice pace once the crank comes in. But you know how these things go.

That crank is worth the wait.
Hopefully it goes smooth for you and is finished by race season.

Speaking of Race season, what's the cap going to be?

I just heard from Jeanne at raceway park.
The EFI 11.50 will not be a points class this year. she said there may be some 11.50 races, but they will not be for any points.

I can't say I'm surprised, but, I am disappointed.

I don't understand that.

What's so hard about keeping points? Or collecting $40. per racer?

Accumulating points is inspiration on those days you really don't fell like going to the track, but you know if you miss you could lose your spot.

So I guess no points = no jacket(s) /trophy(s) at end of season. (another inspiration to race)

While I'm ranting- I think the payout (which is paid in full for every race by the sponsers before race season) should be full payout no matter what the car count is. When I leave home to race for $200.? to win and win, I want $200 not $75 because it wasn't a full field.
What kind of incentive is that for a racer to return? = low car count IMO

Cheers

I agree. It's almost an incentive for the track to not promote it so they can keep the extra money.

Obviously, they'd make more money with a full field because of entry fees. But, it does make you wonder why they don't payout fully.

It bugs me and I don't even have a lot of money tied up in my car... I can't imagine if I were in the same situation as you guys with the expensive fast cars...

I would think the sponsors should have a say if there should be a full field for full pay or not.
