QTP Quick 8 for 2011
It is a real class and one that A LOT of spectators (and even racers who aren't competing in it) love to watch too.
And with some of the players that will be coming back out for 2011 it's shaping up to be even better.
Jay has a car capable of still dominating this thing so I can't see him bailing on it just yet.
But yes, there are other (non GM/EFI specific) 8.50 indexes (Atco, Cecil etc.) to run in as well if that's what one prefers.

Cant wait to see the new format... I'm sure Barry is thinking everything out be for making all kinds of changes... We will have 2 cars ready for next year both n2o

You can roll eyes all you want, but a 10.00+ car racing an 8.50 car is not a "real" series IMHO. To each his own.
You want the series to become competitive, make it a real series, and offer something else for the slower cars that is also competitive. No one is left out, and more people will want to join it. Again, just what I have witnessed in the past at other tracks, and should be opened up to all the people racing in it to discuss and have a say in the rules. Majority wins.

If you dont have a car that is competitive in a specific class then you should not have anything to say about it!!

The race was over at 330, I lifted 3/4 track, Frank probably before that. Is that type of racing good for car count?
So one question would be, do you guys want to race against fast cars or race against drivers of fast cars?
Meaning a cap, which would give all the cars & drivers and chance to win. (even Barry lol)
If you think about it there's all ready a cap (8.50 cert) and I think they'll be a few racers detuning for that next year.
Why not detune a little more, let more racers have a chance to win and hopefully more racers will be interested.
(I know a couple that would)
Maybe start with a 8.90 cap and see how that goes. If all goes well, next year 8.80, then 8.70, etc.???????????????? Think about it.

I understand what you are saying and I do agree with you to a point.. But my comment was in response to a guy that said a 10.0 to an 8.5 car..WTF!!!
Now if I was next to you instead of Frank would u of lifted?? Ill answer that for you.. You would of put that ped thro the floor and I would of done the same!! (Thats what qtp qt8 is all about).. My heart n soul is still a heads up racer.. But I guess because there r not that many cars at our level yet, we have to deal n have fun with whats out there.. An 8.90/8.70 index would be a fun index tho.

Ok new rules to the QT8. Light Blue Vettes that are Supercharged has to run with 500 lbs of sand bags in his car.
What about dark Blue Vettes???
