I don't think it's a bad idea, but I think the size was just a bit too... big. It kinda just stuck out there. Perhaps if it wasn't as wide and tied into the vehicle in some way it would look great.

 

well thats a picture of it all the way out. if you see it in person pushed all the way in it looks pretty good imo. just i cant take a good enough picture with a out dated camera phone to get the right view for people to see it like i do.
