Detailing (01 TA) TONS OF PICS
2001 WS6 63k miles
First one of the season and a good warm-up, my cars been put on the back burner for a while.
I’ve always taken good care of the paint and cleanliness, but the car has never seen any correction. Condition was already way better than normal, but I wanted to see if my partner and I could make it even better.
The car has years of wax on it, mostly Zaino and NXT. Looking at the car to start you would think it needs nothing, but we need to strip the old wax off. As you know Pewter is a tough color to show correction.
PS I really love zaino, great stuff and it shows!
Total time: 2 5-6hr sessions

Before Pics
Condition is not too bad…
A little marring of the top layer from storage (car cover)
Very light RIDS, plus some older wax may have started to break down and yellow a bit
Some light scratches like this here and their
Couple deeper scratches
Plastic is scratched and a little hazed
Gotta get all the nooks and cranny’s
Water etching and glass stains, yeah we gotta fix that. (Especially those t-tops, which I already did last season, they were horrible)
Here We Go this is what I’m talking about
Lots of old rubber (But to be honest I gave up on some of it, might get at it later)
Progress
Lets get started, start taping.
Remember those 2 scratches, Almost gone after the 1st pass, you really got to catch it in the light to see.
Attacking the plastic
Getting shiny
Bumper correction before and after. We know how those F-body bumpers feel like sandpaper
Over 10 yrs of filth.
Power Locking

It has more gold in it then the pewter vettes do.
Dropping it...yeah it would look much better. I'm gonna be working on that soon enough, but I'm gonna go with some strange shocks and some low rate springs, then tweak the back. I want it to hook. Plus I'm afraid I'll catch the y-pipe I currently have.
Here is one more bumper for yeah
